Exclamation Norton 360 v2 anti virus not working
I have vista ultimate and installed Norton 360 v2.0 with add on pack and all components were working fine. Then i installed the v3 with the add on pack.SInce it was an trial one,i again uninstalled it and reinstalled the v2 with add on pack and ran the live update. It reqired me to reboot and it was fully updated.
But my problem is the following.
When i run the antivirus scans,it shows total files scanned=0,risks found=0,risks fixed=0,items processing=0,even though it has been rnning for atleast 10-15.It doesnt even show the locations it is scanning.
I tried to scan just the c: drive,it showed the above same problem and after say 10-15 seconds it shows "no virus or spyware detected".
There is no faulty notification in the norton 360 main menu.
Please help me as i desperately need the norton 360 v2 anti virus to be fully working as i download and surf a lot. Please give replies fast

Hi astroboy89 -

You should be just fine - go with V3 of 360. It will last you for the duration of your subscription.

Uninstall the program using the free Norton Removal Tool. Then, reinstall it.

Hi astroboy89,

This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team.

It sounds like the update did not get applied correctly. As long as you have a valid subscription, you are entitled to a free update to version 3 for the life of your subscription. To resolve this issue, please carefully follow the instructions below to properly export your Add-on Pack settings and then remove and reinstall Norton 360.

1. Assuming you have version 2 still installed, follow the instructions in the link below to export the settings in the Norton Add-on Pack.

Export Norton Add-on Pack Settings

2. Click on the following link to download the Norton Removal Tool:

Norton Removal Tool and Instructions

3. After you run the tool, please restart your computer. Then log in to Windows again and run the removal tool again. Restart your computer after it is finished running the second time as well.

4. Click on the link below and then choose the "Download" button under "Norton 360 " to download the latest installer.

Download the latest installer for Norton 360

5. When the installation is complete, mouse-over the 'PC Security" bubble and choose "Check for Updates". If any updates are installed, restart your computer.

6. Next, open Norton 360 version 3 and click on the "Tasks" link at the top of the window and then select "Set up Parental and Privacy Controls".

Let me know if you experience any problems.

Thank you,
Mike
