.exe files
Hi first of all, sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section.

I downloaded and ran freeregistryfix this morning, and now all my programs come up advising they can not be opened and to select the program from a list. I can't even go back into freeregistryfix to restore to the previous point. System restore is also a No-go. I've even attempted to go on the Internet and download programs to try and solve this, but it redirects me to a web page advising windows does not recognise this file type.

Please can anyone help me solve this, other than rebooting the whole system and losing everything on my computer?!

If you have Windows XP go here: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm

Download the EXE File Association Fix. Read the directions on top, including the note on if your EXE file associations are corrupted.
