I've never used CA Security personally. Everyone kinda has their own opinions on the best AV programs.
There's more to keeping your computer secure. I would recommend taking a look here:

ca virus Portection ?
I was told ca virus could have caused IE and Firefox read below will virus get passed me ?

I have been having problems with IE and Firefox lately which I have been unable to figure
out. When I go to some web sites, the content does not display correctly, or not at all. Symptoms
include pages being drawn incorectly and some content saying that it is loading but then not
displaying. (The load icon spins forever. nothing shows up). An example would be if I go to the
Sears pages, and click on the television Icon to the left of the page, it does not display the
selection of TV's. Another one would be Lycos home page. If I click on my content and try to
add some functions to my page, I see a thin black line where the added content should be but
it does not display. I tried to update flash, but to no avail. It maybe a Java applet situation
but I seem to get my Java applets to run. This is a complete mystery to me and am hoping that
some one out there can help.

Thanks in advance.....

I had the same problem but it was with CA firewall. You you have any other CA programs on your computer? Also what year and version is the CA anti-virus on your system?
To find that out go to:

Lets see if the problem is caused by anti-virus. First disable your virus protection. If you don't know how to do that go here
http://homeofficekb.ca.com/CIDocumen...F693A7F3EC91A7
the website shows how to do that in the 2009 version you have the 2008 version but it should be similar.

While the anti-virus is disabled see if the problems occur, then enable your protection again.

Did it work while it was enabled or disabled? The link adviser may not work with the new version of Firefox because it may be out of date. There is a new version of CA anti-virus out and you can upgrade for free.
Go here http://shop.ca.com/stcontent/upgradecenter/default.aspx
to get the new version of CA anti-virus.

I thought you said in post 6 that you had problems with some website when anti-virus was enabled. Then I asked if the problems with the website still happened if you disabled the anti-virus.
