Something wrong here?
Got a new HP PC a few weeks ago. Finally getting around to creating recovery disks. Very slow process. Now, on disk one of three, it's been stuck at 51% verification for about 25 minutes. Oh great!

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

My son's Fujitsu Amilo laptop did that & in the end we got Fujitsu to send us the discs - only took a couple of days. Maybe HP would do that or call their tech support as it's new?

Thank you.

I tried a second time. This time it hung up at the start of verification of disc 2.

Does this indicate something wrong with the disc writer? After all it writes to the disc OK but then hangs up on verification.

The discs are Memorex DVD-R. Could there be flaws in them?

I am reluctant to have to take the whole set up back to CostCo. Everything else seems OK.

Aaargh!
