Can you see this window open? If not, you might need to lower your pop-up blocker setting. Also check your firewall settings.

Do you have a full-time antivirus program installed and running?

If Kaspersky Internet Security is installed and running in the background, why are you running the Kaspersky on-line scanner?

o 4 :
You have multiple problems. You would most likely obtain assistance specific to your corrupt file issue if you were to create a separate thread, in the forum related to your operating system.

In the new thread, be sure to provide information such as:
Tell us the file types. For example: .doc .jpg .mp3 . There are programs that will try to repair the file.
Why are the files corrupt? Were they on a hard disk drive that was failing? Were they damaged by a virus?

If you're using Mozilla Firefox for your browser, there are new updates for it:

3.0.14

3.5.3

depending if you're using version 3.0 or using version 3.5.

Hi, I don't feel that there is any need of you to scan with the Online scanner....

But> yes, disable the Kaspersky background scanning

Here's how> go to :

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html

Next:

You would have to change the screen resolution, to "zoom out" to a size probably 1024x768 pixels....to see the "Apply" button so the Kaspersky scanner can start up.

Right click on your desktop background and select "Personalize" in Vista operating system....

Then, find Display Settings
] AND under Screen Resolution, increase to 1024x768

You may have to restart the computer for that to take affect, sometimes you do not have to.

I'm posting this so that after you get those updates that were posted by flavalee
you can verify whether the Online scanner will work- and, have your settings set so it can

You also may need the newest version of the Java plugin when using Kaspersky and many other online things....

so, if it tells you your Java needs updating, here is the latest

http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp <<<At this site, download the Offline installer for your operating system (XP/Vista)

Then, double click what you downloaded to install. Accept the License.....let it finish.....restart if it tells you to.

Then do the online scanner.
