Solved: Spybot help
Hello

I have a question about spy-bot. When ever I go to scan my computer I get like 60,000 files that look like junk and I've never even seen them before. Does anybody know how I could get rid of these because i think it's slowing my computer down a lot.

Thanks

Where are you seeing these files?
If you mean the readout at the bottom of the window while the scan is running, these are what Spybot is scanning for, they're not on your system.

Gearsofwar:

Go here and click the green icon to download HijackThis 2.0.2.

Close all open windows, then install it. Allow it to install in its default location: C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.

After it's installed, run a scan with it - which should take 30 seconds or less.

When the scan is finished, save the resulting log in Notepad.

Return here, then copy-and-paste the entire log here.

The log willl show us what's installed and running in the background and if any obvious infection is present.

Personally, I'd get rid of Spybot-S&D and replace it with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware.
