Access is denied to some folders, Vista Is there any way I can tell Vista that I am the owner of the laptop, and want permission to see ALL folders, files and content. I'll try to see something in the Windows Explorer and get "access is denied". I have worked on computers for 30 years and being denied access to my own machine is not acceptable. Can I turn this totally off?
When I got my laptop (Dell 1525 Inspiron) I set my own user to the same permissions as "Admistrator" then deleted the user.
