Solved: McAfee "Can Not Copy the misplf.dll" What??
Hi,

Had MaCafee Virus Plus suit running for long time. Last few days keeps telling me I'm not protected. Keep fixing, shows ok...then bam! Not ok again. I try to do a scan, get an error.

I tried to reinstall complete and then when it goes through the process, get this funky:

"Setup cannot copy the file misplf.dll.

Ensure the location below is correct, or change it and insert '(Unkown)' in the drive you specify. Copy files from: C:\PROGRA~1\McAfee\Temp\qxzC3BB"

Any help here would greatly be appreciated.

No downloaded. I have it now, but its giving me issues. so i'm reinstalling. It starts the process fine, then gets to the "can install file" and thats it. its really weird.

very strange mate,

if your not willing to try a different AV then i suggest a complete format of HDD and reinstall of Windows.

i recommend NOD32 for AV... try it and see does it give you the message.... some virus' can go on forever and destroy enterprises... surely it could take out MCAFEE!!

good luck

Thanks, not sure why I just didn't go that route to begin with...so totally uninstalled all...then reinstalled, but still got a few of the "can copy..." errors, but this time i just retry and it work, seemed like only afew readme files that might have been left over...

Anyway, worked so I guess you did it. Thanks much!!!
