Computer Restarts
Yesterday, I had strangely recieved a virus. Now this virus disabled my task manager, regedit and firewall. I quickly downloaded AvG ANti Virus to delete what was to delete. However, when I chose to go into safe mode to do the rest of my deletion, my computer would restart..

I thought to myself, why not be smart and force my computer to go into safemode. I put on msconfig, and put my safemode as the boot preference. Now whenenver go into my computer, it would always restart and constantly restart because the virus will not allow me to go into safemode.

Does anyone have any help? I"M atm using a diff computer =(

Any avaliable remedies, potions, cures . I'm in dire need of one ):

Yes, I've had no AV before this, because I don't surf up anything Malicious, so when I had a virus, this was unexpecting ):

you should, at all times, install AV before connecting your machine to the internet!!

anyway thats not gonna solve your issue now.

If that virus was powerful enough to do that to your machine then theres only one thing for it.

undo whatever you did to the BIOS and wipe that hard drive and reinstall windows!

If thats the case, do you know how I can log into another drive to get some files from my C drive, i remember being able to do that. Are you sure that there's no other cure?

You could try taking the drive out of that computer and putting it in an enclosure, connecting to another computer, removing the files and formatting the disk.

my only worry with this is, you may spread the virus! :-(

do you have the name of the virus?
