Smile Anyone using Microsoft Security Essentials
After it has been released on Sept 29th has anyone being using it on a vista machine? What are your thoughts?

I am using it and so far I like it. It offers one thing that most of the other free av's don't, at least not that I've found, you can schedule the scans whenever you like. I have mine set to scan at 2am. It's not obtrusive, and kind of runs in the background like threat fire.

I just installed it and completed a full system scan with no infections! I am liking this product so far so good!!

Both AVG and AntiVir support scheduling scans whenever you like. They also do automatic updates. Which free anti-virus apps did you try that didn't have built-in scheduling?
