Exclamation Flash cookies - really dangerous!
Hello guys.

I have both Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 3.5. And I know that 87 web sites from 100 send flash cookies to our computers when we are browsing.

I know also that the flash cookies are a new way of tracing your movement and storing a lot more information about you than with normal cookies.

But the browsers can’t locate and clean them. How can I see and then clean them?

There are a couple of things you could look into.

The first is the Flash Player Settings Manager; http://www.macromedia.com/support/do...manager06.html Assuming it works as claimed, this enables you to restrict what gets installed on your system (and should show you what is currently there).

Another, more radical option, is a tool called 'Flush Flash' ;http://www.xs4all.nl/~fstaal01/flushflash-us.html I've used this a couple of times and nothing actually blew up, but it's definitely an 'at your own risk' option.

yep, the flash cookies are really painful and they have more information for you than the ordinary cookies.

certainly clean them after browsing because they return your personal info to the web site owner.

I use Mil Shield, really doing good work against internet privacy breakers. It's free about a month.

There is an answer
They are Really bad. According to wikipedia they are a collection of cookie-like data stored as a file on a user's computer. And they contain 100 KB information about you and your preferences, personal stuff. Normal HTTP cookies can not save more than 4 KB of data.

Just download Mil Shield or Webroot Washer, they will help.

Wink I'm glad that there is a software that remove flash cookies
You certainly use Mil Shield for flash cookies cleaning.

It cleans junk off of PCs, and removes registry keys without any failures. Great software!

Wow! I know that they are not controlled through the cookie privacy controls in the browsers and I was too worried about being tracked. I'm with mil shield now, and you just try this internet tool against this kind of cookies. cheers!!
