Solved: GRC reports a ping problem
Quote:
Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED) — Your system REPLIED to our Ping (ICMP Echo) requests, making it visible on the Internet. Most personal firewalls can be configured to block, drop, and ignore such ping requests in order to better hide systems from hackers. This is highly recommended since "Ping" is among the oldest and most common methods used to locate systems prior to further exploitation.
as per GRC.com, everything else is stealthed.

I have a home network, don't I need to have the computer be able to be pinged?
--
BUT

with Hijackthis I got a new line like this

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{659DFB58-6550-4C4D-96B8-ADFA51949AFE}: NameServer = 199.166.6.2 209.239.11.98

what does this mean? the info says it is a DOMAIN HIJACK. I have not seen this before. Why are there 2 domains? together?

I have just upgraded to FF 3.5 and TSG doesn't load on startup, it says, it is not found, I have to "retry" it. Does upgrading have anything to do with this?
any help is appreciated.

yes Sir,
but what I don't understand, why is it there?
and why is 199.166.6.2 together with it?
Should I worry about this?

Specific values in the registry for HKEY LOCAL MACHINE help windows to resolve domain names into IP addresses.

It's best to leave the O17 entries alone unless they clearly point to a bad site. Removing a needed 017 entry may break your internet connectivity as they may be used by your ISP.
