McAfee Site Advisor
I have loaded Site Advisor twice on my desktop (WinXPsp3), and uninstalled twice.
I could see the Site Advisor Search box in lower right of Firefox (3.5.3), but no markings next to each web site/page.
But nothing loaded (at all) in the IE8 (even though everything appeared to load okay on my 17" laptop, with IE8 and Firefox also).
Both machines have same things - WinXPsp3; IE8; Firefox; same AV/AS programs, etc.
#1- Any suggestions why Site Advisor does not work on the desktop?

#2- P.S. After removing Site Advisor from the desktop, I ran CCleaner. Does anything else remain of the Site Advisor on the desktop after the unnstall? Some fragments that I need to delete manually, etc.?

You could try running the McAfee Removal Tool.

I don't know why it's not working on your desktop but by using the McAfee Removal Tool and reinstalling Site Advisor, it might finally work.

Best possible reason it doesn't work? Is there any malware present now? What are you using to find out?

Malwarebytes is fine if updated and scanned with, the rest are useless and if you used the reg cleaner in ccleaner you may have created unrepairable damage to the registry which is resp;onsibel for this.
