Unhappy Don't know what to do Windows/Security
When I came home yesterday my boyfriend had been on my computer, and no I currently do not have updated anti-virus protection on my computer. Anyway he got booted off the internet and now when I log on a after the welcome screen a pop up is there with a stop system warning box. It says it is from the safety center. On the left hand side it says License error- The license control center has detected an outdated or unknown software license. Database update error! The database is out of date. Some components are not working correctly. Update your software immediately! Security under threat! The component providing security has detected a critically low level of protection. Make sure tha all components are working correctly. In the system warning box it says: Dear user! Your system has been infected with multiple spyware programs. Your personal data, email messages, and banking information security might be in danger. You should consider using an anitvirus or anti-spyware software to protect your computer. Then it ask if i have read and understood this warning. Is there a way for you to help me without me having to buy a $100 removal program please help if possible.

DD24:

First, you need to keep your boyfriend away from your computer while we're helping you.

Second, you need to follow these instructions in the order listed:

Go here and click the green icon to download HijackThis 2.0.2.

Go here and click the green icon to download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.41.

Go here and click the green icon to download SUPERAntiSpyware 4.29.0.1004.

Close all open windows, then install Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware. Make sure to allow the definition files to be updated during the install process.

After they're both installed and updated, don't do anything else with them yet.

Restart your computer.

Install HijackThis in its default location: C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.

After it's installed, run a scan with it - which will take 30 seconds or less.

Save the resulting log in Notepad.

Return here, then copy-and-paste the entire log here.

Forget about trying to access the TSG forum site on your laptop for now.

We need to see a HijackThis log of your laptop so we can see what's installed and running in the background and what obvious infection is present. If you need to download it from another computer and then copy it to the laptop and then install it and run a scan, do so.
