Angry Virus protection help
Hello, First things first. I am running Pc on a mac via bootcamp. Please don't hassle me for this. I like pc, but need a reliable system to fall back on. For the last few weeks I have had alot of trouble with windows xp. I have been having problems with the internet, after 15 minutes to an hour, it says connection reset on my internet (all browsers) and gmail notifier and instant messenger, but the internet still works through games. I also have trouble with freezing. I start up my computer as normal and sometimes my computer will freeze AFTER login or restart itself. I have avira as virus protection and ad-aware for...what ad-aware does, and a pretty standard firewall. These weird problems have been occuring for weeks, but when I scan (using full scan) on Avira and ad- aware, they always come up as no detections. I ignored it for awhile, but now I can't login to windows xp without freezing, so I will have to uninstall windows xp and re-install it (for the third time...). No matter how many programs I get, I seem to get viruses insanely easy, and can never get rid of them. (First, I had AVG, and while I had avg, it kept finding viruses and fixing them, except for the last virus. and no matter how many times I scanned, couldn't get it to go away, so I re-installed pc.) So how come I always have these problems? Even though I'm protected I get viruses, they aren't detected, and I have to re-install! do I need even more types of protection? please help!

I'm sorry that the way I wrote this question is terrible. but It's late and I'm exhausted

Hi and Welcome,
I suggest you post a HijackThis log in the malware/hjt forum here at TSG.
You'll have to be patient and wait for an expert to advise you. Not that many experts to go around the numbers of help requests.
Guide to procedure:

I hope you are not crazy enough to 'get' boobytrapped pirated programs through limewire, bittorrents and the like. Those 'places' are hacker heaven. People think shared programs are clean, whereas hackers embed backdoors and viruses into the setup.exe.

AVG is an OK antivirus program. But no antivirus program can detect 100% of all viruses. Thats why there is a site called VirusTotal that scans your uploaded file with 39 antivirus products.
