Bad Ideas
It is a bad idea to start downloading programs from a random forum because you think that you have a virus.
It is a bad idea to start responding to an alien program that is prompting you for action.
It is a bad idea to allow alien programs to "scan" your computer for viruses.
It can be a bad idea to close some pop-up windows of alien programs with the "X" corner icon--better to close using the "Alt- F4" or "Ctrl - Alt - Del" to open task manager and close programs that are requiring action.
It is a better idea to use the antivirus program that is resident on your computer or it is a bad idea to start using a new antivirus program that is not your resident antivirus program.
It is a bad idea to not have an antivirus program on your computer if you are surfing the internet.
