Online scan idea
Was thinking: Why not run a decent, effective and light AV ie. NOD32 in real-time, and every couple of weeks have a "scan day" where you run loads of online scanners one by one? Would this be okay?

Or, you could simply get a full scan of your system over the Internet from the legitimate security websites that offer that option.

When I was running TrendMicro's PC-cillen as my main AV w/firewall, I used to run AVG and an Anti-Trojan scanner (A2, i.e. A-squared free) in Safe mode on the weekends - depends on how much free time you have to do the scans.

I just use the kaspersky on-line scanner when I think I have something and can't resolve it myself via various tools of destruction.

Free, easy to use. My wife, who has zero knowledge about malware, scans with kaspersky monthly.
