Everyone has different opinions on this. I personally like Norton and ESET. Many people still don't like Norton, however it's drastically changed.

1. Norton Internet Security 2010
2. ESET Smart Security v4
3. BullGuard Internet Security v8.5

1. Esset
2. Kaspersky
3. Norton

Personally I use Esset Nod32. But a lot of people would argue Kaspersky.

There is a number of factors to consider:

1. Detection rate - How good the antivirus is at detecting.
2. Use of resources of the system - How much it will slow the machine
3. False positives - How many programs it will flag as an virus that actually isnt a virus.
