huh.....that's surprising, as I use firefox exclusively on my xp, 7, and linux boxes, and have for years, and have had zero infections. Also use ZA, though, which probably stops a lot of it. Plus a hardened router, which probably doesn't hurt either.

still surprising though.

I'm always wary of this type of report/survey (even the ones critical of Microsoft products!). As an Opera user I wonder if I am entitled to adopt a smug grin and turn off my firewall?

There is an interesting piece about browser 'security' in a recent issue of the Windows Secrets Newsletter which contrasts nicely with the 'findings' of the net-security report ; http://WindowsSecrets.com/comp/091105

Are you saying that you had version 3.5.5 yet Secunia says you don't?

So then Secunia doesn't always detect the correct versions. I'm surprised at that.

Wheres chrome! I am a chrome guy myself! Used to be a huge FF fan, then one day i tried chrome and never looked back! Id love to see how secure it is, but i watch what i vist and use AVG 8.5 Network Edition, which is pretty solid IMO.
