I need help

I have a Dell Inspiron 1150 Laptop that I use mostly for playing games online and occasionally checking emails. Nothing too serious. This morning I keep getting a Windows Security Alert and I can't complete any applications unless I agree to purchase Antivirus System Pro to allow me to do anything. I want to format my hard drive and erase everything and I have the original install disks, but I cant even get the bot to allow me to reformat the drive. Any suggestions other than throwing this out the window?

I am a very frustrated user right now and I need simple advice please

what happens when you boot off the Original Install disk

Your computer is obviously infected by a rogue antivirus program. You should have posted in the Malware Removal forum.
