Security Settings
I have the following setting disabled : "Display video and animation on webpage that don't use external media player".

If I enable this, would that imoprove my downloading of Utube videos?

Or would it make me vulnerable to trash and viruses? Or worse.

best

What browser are you using? I think youtube uses flash and java if im not mistaken not an external media player. I would say you are going to be safe with it allowing stuff from external sources as long as your watching where you are going. As for how long its taking to download youtube videos most likely has more to do with your connection speed then internet settings.

If you're using Internet Explorer, set all 4 zones in Security(tab) to "Default Level".

Also install the current version of Adobe Flash Player and Sun Java Runtime Environment.

I personally don't use U-Tube. I do visit it though if someone I know sends me a link to a video clip there. I was there earlier today.
