The name of the file might give us a clue. Commonly encrypted files are archives (zip, rar, 7z etc.), although NTFS provides the facility to encrypt files from windows explorer.

If you google "RPS SafeConnect.msi" the consensus seems to be that this file is provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and is harmless.

It is unlikely that someone is "entering your computer"; what exactly is the message that you are getting?

Is your ISP Bell Canada? The file seems to be supplied by Bell itself as part of their system maintenance pack.

No, i have no idea what Bell is and i'm nowhere near canada i'm in england, as described above this line of enquiry is an answer to a question about strange goings on in my email account, i appear to be sending myself emails that cannot possibly have come from me, yet they appear in my sent box?

Please click here to download and install the HijackThis installer.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

Do not fix anything

I agree with midders, the "RPS SafeConnect.msi" file seems legit and must come from your ISP.

As for the message from Microsoft, it most likely comes from your firewall blocking an outgoing communication and asking for your permission to let it go through. It's probably legit also.

As for your e-mail problems, I can't really tell. It might be spam, spoofing... You could change your password just in case.

As for your HijackThis log, I cannot see anything suspicious.

This is a bit out of my league but is there somebody you know, or thought you knew, that would have a reason to spread these rumours about you?

Well, Facebook is targeted by a lot of malicious individuals... Everybody should think twice before exposing themselves on the Web for the whole world to see...

True, but just because you sleep with a guy and someone else doesn't like it does not mean i deserve this, It started after i was pictured out with some lads on a mates birthday, I think i need to know how to stop it, rather than surmising why though, and i deactivated facebook yesterday, thanks for everything you truly are a star hun xxx
