Solved: Question about an anti-spyware site
So, I have the URL of anti-spyware applicaton site and I want to know if this site is for a bogus app or not.

The product is advertised as "AntiSpyware 2009". I haven't downloaded anything but I would like to give the URL to someone so they can check it out.

What's the best way for me to do this?

Thanks!

Peace...

I did a quick search on Google and it seems to be a rouge piece of software. You could also try using McAfee's site advisor.

Dr.Web LinkChecker

WOT

Norton Safe Web

Anyway, AntiSpyware 2009 is malware.

Stick with the best, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and SuperAntiSpyware and you won't get into trouble.

Thanks. I'm not asking if the software is legit so I can install it, I was mainly wanting someone to confirm if the site I have the URL of is for an actual bogus app or not.

I managed to stumble across this URL by accident and this is the first time I've done this kind of thing (stumble across the URL of an actual malicious app) so I wanted to confirm what I found was actually bogus. Of course, I did NOT want to post the URL here since I didn't want others to click it.

Thanks!

Peace...

Five bucks says somebody will read this thread, Google the malware in question, and visit the site anyway.

Tom,

Another way to check ANY site is using this

http://www.unmaskparasites.com/

You only need the exact URL of a site to use it. Makes a report if it sees anything bad on that site.
