Question about PGP encrypted e-mail
I use OpenPGP to sign and encrypt e-mail and it works fine. However, I want to access the same e-mail account from a different machine. I've got my private and public keys setup on my home desktop system. Would I need to transfer my private key to the second machine so I could decode e-mail on that machine as well as my home desktop machine? Would I need to create a new key on the second machine?

Thanks!

Peace...

You need the private key to decode messages. You shouldn't have to create a new key on the new machine, as the new key is useless for decrypting existing email.

Thanks for the reply. I understand about needing the private key but I don't know if it's transferable across computers. Is it possible to store the private key on a USB flash drive or something so it can effectively be shared across systems or at least installed on both systems?

Peace...
