Question Avast!: System32 files stuck in the Virus Chest! Now Avast! won't open.
i was scanning for viruses with Avast! and it popped up and said that some DLL files were viruses. i scanned them again and it said that they were clean. i tried to restore them, but they were System32 files and when i tried to restore them, it said i didnt have permission. I tried to open Avast! right now so i could check what the files were called but it wouldnt open! Whats happening?

If possible, send the files to Jotti's Malware Scan to make sure they aren't indeed infected.

Those DLLs look important, but if Windows is still running then it probably means that Windows restored a copy from its own backup. Windows has a component called SFC ( systems file checker) that does it automatically. I previously tried modifying some programs in Windows\System32 and Windows instantly replaced them with backup working copies.
