Need HELP!
Not sure if this belongs under security or not but the only thing I can think is that I have some sort of virus or a virus that I used to have changed something. Everytime I hit the delete button or right click on something, Roxio Creator 2009 wants to install itself. i didnt want it so I uninstalled it a long time ago. I thought maybe reinstalling it would solve the problem but that didnt work.

I have an HP Compac NX7400
running XP Pro sp3

Thanks in advance.

Matt.

Try System Restore to a prior date first and see if problem disappears.

You might try booting into safe mode (tap the F8 key continously while computer boots) when the safe mode window opens, use the arrow keys to move up to the "last known good configuration" choice, click enter. Let the computer do it's thing. I think that will resolve the problem.
Post back and let us know now it goes.

When you uninstalled it did you do it through add/remove programs?
Here is a link to a program that many of the folks here recommend to remove leftover programs. It is called Revo uninstaller: (free)

Roxio Creator puts multiple entries in the Add Or Remove Programs(XP) / Programs And Features(Vista) list. Make sure to uninstall them all. After you do that and restart, go into the C:\Program Files folder and delete the leftover Roxio folder - if it's still there.
