I want to buy automatic screwdriver for repair and maintenance and assembling and disassembling small/medium electronics be it computer, laptop, smartphone. I just don't know what tool to get. I was looking on these:

Black And Decker Alkaline Cordless Screwdriver:



Skil Lithium Ion Cordless Screwdriver:



These are small but i don't know which to get. The first one does not rely on recharging and uses Alkaline battery but second one needs recharging.

The second type I'd get the second one. Alkaline batteries aren't cheap and annoying when they go flat and rechargable AA are an added pain if there is an alternative. I have a lot of rechargable AA/AAA batteries for clocks, mouse, game controllers, mp3, torches etc. but it is much nicer to have something that plugs into the wall. The lifespan on that would be really decent too.

I think second one will be less comfortable to work with as you will have to strain your hand to work from angle. With first one your just hold hand straight and work. Furthermore recharging everytime i need the tool? Ahhh...

You would have much longer between recharges than that.

But the design would be a little awkward. You're right and I didn't think of that. You'd need a lot of pressure to avoid shredding the screws and a verticle design would give you more control.

I have one similiar to the Black & Decker you have pictured. The batteries last quite a long time and unless you are doing a considerable number of builds or repairs it should be just fine.
