Solved: 32 bit (x86) CPU with 64 bit OS. Will it work?
Hello, I am currently running windows vista home premium 32 bit I want to upgrade to a 64 bit version of windows 7, I know I will need a fresh install. My CPU Intel Q6600 @2.40Ghz says that is it a (x86) 32 bit CPU. Will a 64 bit OS run on this system?

Thanks in advance

I should have asked where you got the information that your CPU was x86. If you just checked to see what it is using now, it may show the wrong info, of course.

Securable will test for 64-bit capability.
