Solved: printer pop up - running low on ink
Hi

I have a HP deskjet F2400 series printer that is geting low on ink and the solution centre keeps popping up on my screen telling me this, my question is how do i stop this warning from keep coming

I know i am low on ink but it is annoying having to be told this every 5 minutes. When this annoying message pops us there is a box that says settings but there is nothing in there to turn off etc

thanks.

What about unplugging your printer until such time as you need it?

Go to Start - Run - MSCONFIG - OK - "Startup" tab.

Write down the names in the "Startup Item" column that begin with hp

Submit those names here in a vertical list.

Make sure to spell them correctly.

do you ever actually use the solution center?? if not, follow these steps:

goto run (start>run) and type in
Code:
msconfig
.
go to the startup tab and see if 'HP Digital Imaging' is listed.
if it is - disable it by unchecking, then restart.

did this solve the problem?

Uncheck the top 2 entries in the startup list, then click Apply - OK - Exit Without Restart.

Double-click the bottom 2 entries in the services list, then change the "startup type" to Manual, then click Apply - OK.

Restart the computer.

If the small System Configuration Utility window appears, ignore the message.
Put a check in the lower left of that window before you click OK to close it.
