I bought a laptop that I got from a family member, turned it on all works...ok, buy it and go home.
plug in my mouse...natta... flash drives...natta.

windows 7 detects nothing wrong.
uninstalling usb from device manager, rebooting and w7 reinstalling doesnt work.

I did a search on causes, seems Andriods can fry the usb.
some ppl fixed their usb buy doin some 5v thing, by plugging in a usb cable and applying 5v to the red cable. but i ono about that.

If you will tell us the brand and model number of the computer we can help you better. You might try going to the web site of the manufacturer and download the drivers for the usb ports...

its on the zip, but its a toshi satellite. L355D

the front of the laptop has a miniSD reader, that works for camera type cards.
