DVD drive on-button not working
The eject button on my DVD RW drive on my Notebook won't function - and I presume this is a software problem. I'm running Windows 7 on my HP Pavilion. I can eject CDs with My Computer but it would be more convenient if I could use the physical button (which I doubt is broken physically).

I think it's more likely it is a hardware problem and the switch is faulty. Does the light on the drive flash when you press the switch ? If not then there's not much you can do except get a new DVD RW drive or carry on using the Eject in My Computer.

OR try this method to create a desktop shortcut to eject the drive :-
It's written for Vista but should work in 7 too.
