Solved: DVD Player Laser Video
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12011541/201...2012.30.45.mp4

I have a DVD Video player here not reading DVDs - anyone recognise by the video exactly what it could be?

The video doesn't really help. What error are you getting? Most players will display an error on screen when a disc cannot be read.

In any case, they aren't user repairable.

What are we supposed to get from the video? It shows something spinning. You can't even tell what it is. You haven't even said if this is a computer drive or a player connected to a TV or what.

1. the unit is a "DVD Video Player"
2. you can see clearly the laser struggling to focus on the dvd in the video

I have since fixed the issue by using a multimeter and adjusting the resistance on the laser.

thanks.
