I have an Emerson Camcorder, and the computer doesn't recognize it via USB.

I don't get an error message from the computer, but instead when I plugged in the camera nothing happened.

I plugged it in several times after that to no avail.

Have you installed the drivers onto the PC...the CD that came with it...

Not sure but on some cameras you need to turn it on and set the camera for USB connection
