Hi there,
I tried to get my pics off my camera & my PC won't recognise my Alba SL1230 camera. I haven't got the disc that woz wiv my camera.
Is there any1 out there wiv any suggestions 4 me? I've just joined ebay & obviously want 2 put my pics on there. I've got Win xp Pro. Help me out sum1 coz feel like kicking it.

Are you getting an error? If so, what is the exact error?

How did you connect it to the PC with a USB cable?

Your PC should see it if it has all updates. You can try it on another PC and also get a USB plug in card reader and put the card from the camera to transfer that way.

I'm not getting any error come up. In fact there's nothing coming up at all. I've been to Control panel, then add hardware & tried wiv the wizard but no joy there neither.
I haven't got a clue what else 2 do.

Yes i'm connecting the camera wiv the USB cable. I've tried looking 4 device wiv wizard but still no joy there. I haven't any idea wot else 2 try. Any suggestions?

USB Mass Storage device may not be enabled. To check this, and repair - Connect Camera with USB cable. Right Click My Computer And Select the following > Manage > (Left in Computer Management Window) Device Manager. In Right Window, locate Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Any Devices listed with Red (disabled) or Yellow (functioning issues) right click and choose Uninstall.Computer should want to reboot itself. If not Shutdown and restart it. Once rebooted, the Found New Device wizard should identify and install the USB Mass Storage Device. Open My Computer when it is complete (do not rush it (get a coffee and select Patience for a few minutes) and a new device - the Camera should be listed under Devices with Removable Storage. Plan B is to use another computer, and email your Pics and Videos to yourself, while considering Plan C.

Hi there,
I done as u said above & the Universal Serial Bus Controllers were fine, no Red or Yellow. But under portable devices there's a Yellow exclamation mark on MTP Device. Is that anything to do with it? Or is that something totally different?

You found it! Drivers for that cam are hard to find, I am still looking for a valid download site in case they are needed.
