You could upgrade the PSU. the one HP put in from the factory will power the system as it was shipped, And with the Video Card I linked to would probably have no problem either. If you wanted to upgrade, I would recommend something in the 450W to 500W range from a quality company such as Corsair, OCZ, Antec, to name a few.

Do you want to use dual monitors to extend your desktop? Or do you want the same thing displayed on the monitor and the TV? If you want to extend your desktop, you need a card that supports that. Just because a card has 2 outputs does not mean it supports that. I can't tell from the description on Newegg's site whether or not that card does.

The power supply that shipped with the computer is perfectly fine for the components that came with that computer. When you start upgrading things, you change that configuration. If you're going to replace the power supply, you need one that fits the HP proprietary case and has the proper connections for the HP motherboard

Things get complicated in a hurry when you try to upgrade pre-built, big-box systems.

Then you need to make sure whatever card you buy supports dual monitors. Unless you have a very large monitor and do high-end graphics work, you won't notice a difference between VGA and DVI.

well i plan on buying a new led monitor pretty soon after this. the hdmi is the most important thing. my pc doesnt have one and i need it to hook up to my tv. i am doing dvd to hdmi right now and it sucks having to use sound from my pc speakers.
