Exclamation best student pc
Hii
I am about to buy a new laptop and I don't have a lot of experience with computers, so maybe you guys could help me out.. I am using DELL studio at the moment, however it's just too heavy for me to carry around all the time. Could anyone suggest a reliable and lighter computer? I don't need much, it's basically for internet browsing, writing term papers, reading, movie watching and some simple programs. Bigger memory and long lasting battery power would be an absolute advantage. Some of my friends are using Macbooks and enjoying them so much. Of course they look nice, the OS looks better the windows, however is it really worth to pay a lot more money for that?

Your opinion would be very appreciated

well thats subjective - but you do get light and small

but there are other small machines around - and there will be a few deals for going back to school, uni

staples often have some deals

I would just suggest going into curry/pcworld and having a look at various models
NOTE - they often do NOT have the battery's installed

i have seen some nice toshiba and sony machines - recently

most all new laptop tops are very good. Having said that, Win 8 is on the horizon and is really an unknown. If you have the money and live anywhere near an apple store, a MAC is s must consider just for the future support. The first words out of the PC support guys "is you must reformat and rebuild", ($$$$$$$) many dollars for them and its easy and fast. Have had much success with Genius Bar help. One last thought. As a student you can buy Office at a discount.
