Solved: New motherboard problems
I was going about trying to update my hardware, (motherboard, processor and RAM), but now my computer is stuck and won't finish booting.

Currently it is stopping on the line AMD data change....update new data to DMI!

It won't progress any further then that. I'm guessing I made a simple mistake, but so far can't fix it.

I have done a CMOS clear, but it didn't change anything

Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
RAM: 2 x 2GB
HD: 250gb
Power: Bestec ATX-250-12Z (250w max)

You forgot to post what hardware you actually have. Please post the exact model of processor, the exact motherboard...RAM, power supply, hard drives, etc...

Also, have you tried turning it one with no hard drives, optical drives, USB drives, card readers, etc connected/plugged in?

Tried booting it with nothing plugged in, same thing as before except now an additional line underneath saying Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter.

Thats actually progress. Now connect the hard drive and see if it boots. Make sure the hard drive is the boot device list in the BIOS.

Also, since you replaced the motherboard expect to do a format and reinstall of Windows. Which version of Windows will you be using on this computer?

IMPORTANT NOTE: Throw out out the BESTEC piece of garbage power supply. You should not be using a 250 watt PSU with new components unless you want to replace them when the PSU fails. BESTEC power supplies are also considered junk quality by most users so thats a double fail. You need to buy a new quality power supply such as a Corsair or Antec power supply and preferable in the 500 watt range, and higher if you wish to add a gaming class graphics card.

Reconnected hard drive and went back to the original problem.

Figured as much that I may have to reinstall.

As far as the power supply, thank you for the advice, I'll get one a new one soon.
