missing fxsapi.dll file from windows xp
have a Lexmark X83 fax/printer/scanner. screen pops up and says "need file fxsapi.dll from Windows XP cd rom". Don't have disc and can't find file. how or where would i find this?

Hi, and welcome....are you running XP? If so, how did it come installed? and what happened to the disk?

You should have this file on your hard drive. It will be listed under C:\I386\FXSAPI.DL_
Note that the last L will be an underscore instead. Do a file search to make sure that the file is listed. If you do have it, then when it again asks for the XP disk, browse instead to where the file is located.
