USB Storage devices don't show under My Computer
I am on Win 98SE. I just bought a Lexar Jumpdrive. Downloaded and installed the driver. The device doesn't show up under My Computer. It shows up under Device Manager. In addition, I have a Compact Flash card reader. It also doesn't show up under My Computer, but it DOES show up in my digital camera download program. I have other USB devices (cable modem, scanner) that work fine. I have assigned drive Z to the Jumpdrive and verified that lastdrive = z is in my config.sys.

I guess that this problem has been there for a while, but didn't matter until I got the Jumpdrive.

The other storage devices I have are: Floppy, Hard Drive, CD, CDR and zip drive.

Any ideas?

Thanks

The Lexar tech support guy fixed my problem. Thought that I would post the solution. Used TWEAKUI utility. Went to the My Computer tab under this and made user all the letters were checked (some weren't). Then under the Repair tab did Repair Icons. Magically the USB device showed up. I also had a compact reader that magically how shows up too.
