Driver_IRQ_Not_Less_or_Equal Solution
Have been having this problem for some time now, and only recently been able to point the problem to the CPU. When I knocked down the fsb from 200 to just 199 it stopped all the bsod's alltogether.
Pc was crashing any time but mostly when stressing pc a bit.
My question:
Would this be an incompatibility issue, driver or simply a dodgy cpu?
Pretty sure I have all updated drivers
Also when CPU fsb is knocked down to 166 its reading as 2500xp, is this normal?

Specs
XP Pro sp2
xp3200+
nfII Ultra Infinity
2x 512ddr corsair 400 dual enabled
2x60gb maxtor raid0
450 PSU
9800 pro
TDK DVD+r Double Layer (Updated Firmware) Problems started after this was installed but after removing it prob's still persisted

If you are using dual channel DDR are they in the blue slots on the motherboard? It could also very well be memory related.

Yes they are in the blue slots on the motherboard, have tried on 1rst and 3rd slot aswell and also tried using a single slot, have tested some twin mos sticks in it too whith same result.
Funny you say that though it seems as if there is a bit more HDD activity than usual in games, when loading terrain in simulators during gameplay for example.
The modules I do have in now are recommended by corsair for the motherboard I am using.Could there be a coflict between cpu and memory?

I am not too keen on DFI motherboards and it could well be any number of things. To get the memory eliminated try using only one stick at a time ad the full FSB and see if you get the error. Is there any application in particular this happens in? I also didn't see any mention of your video card in your specs.

PS. Normally the error you are receiving also tells you a driver name that is casuing the problem.

Tried with just one stick as you mentioned.
Pc didn't crash but MS FS 2004 did,
Error:
windows out of virtual memory
Increase the the size of virtual memory paging file.

I forgot to mention that there is a cpu update that keeps failing to install from MS Update site.
Advanced Micro Devices - AMD K7 Processor , plus I tested about a week ago with a 3000xp with 333mhz, update was succesfull but my rig remained Unstable.

It could be a dodgy powersupply; wouldn't be the first time.

Any BIOS updates for your motherboard?

When the prob arised I had a 350 watt psu, since then I bought an xblade case which had a 450 psu supllied with it, unfortunatly the fan blown after only about 5 mins of use, having updated a lot of components since then I decided to go get a decent 450 psu.
Having used 3 psu's I think it may be safe to eliminate that as the cause.
So basicly tested with dif psu's, cpu, ram, and VPU and prob still persists, so basicly all I have left I think is to test a dif motherboard, the drivers are up to date from what I can gather, having said that the board isnt that old either and I am very cautious when it comes to esd.
What if I tested in safe mode just incase its a software issue, what kind of application should I run to test it since its a bit hard with the resolution I get with those drivers?

Ok I have started in safe mode and run a virus scan,
same error
Does this mean that its a definite hardware fault?

What did you scan with? Was it up to date or was it an online scanner?

How are your temperatures? You can use Speedfan from Windows and also check the temps in the BIOS.

Acccording to speedfan I have something running at 128C (on idle) on temp3
which I think is isa bus.
I guess this is too much right?
I also noticed that my 3rd memory socket seems a bit loose.

It might be an error - Speedfan generally has a 127/128 degrees temp listed. Check in the BIOS to see what the temps are. Also see if DFI has a temperature monitoring program. How are the other temps?

I have used M'Board software and checked bios temps in past.
Cpu is 40 idle - 47 full load usually
I have noticed sometimes an irregular change of temp on the cpu from 45 it would drop down to 32 while in game.
Nothing overheating though.

Could also be a corrupt Windows installation if it happens not to be the motherboard. Safe Mode does not rule this out. Although right now the problems to point to hardware as the problem.
