Thermal Error at Start-up?
Hi.

In recent days I've been getting 'thermal error' message when i start up my computer. I have had to press F2 to resume the starting up. Does anyone know what this 'thermal error' is and how to fix it? Will it affect my computer's performance or even cause it to stop working?

Thanks a lot!

Does it keep going after you press F2

I suspect your CPU fan has stopped turning.

If your CPU overheats, it can be damaged.

Please post details about your computer specs.

I would run this utility so you can monitor action of temps and fan speeds in Windows.

Tell us what you see for cpu temps and fan speeds

Hi. How do I get details about my computer specs? (Sorry, I don't know a lot about computer).

Sensorviews:

Something in the bottom right pops up and says: 'Sorry, some sensors not found'.

When I clicked on the sensorview icon, I see: HD0 50 deg C / 122 deg F.

Please show me if there is something wrong and if there is something I can do to fix this problem.

You can download a free program to do this.
Google for:
PC Wizard
Belarc
Everest.

Any of those should do.
