Angry "Travel Solutions" Portable Numeric Keypad
I purchased this keypad to use with my MacBookPro, but it will not recognize the keypad. It instructs me to press they key next to the "Shift" key, but since it is a numeric keypad, there is no shift key, and therefore no key next to it. I have searched online for a driver that I could download, but there does not seem to be one that I could find. The keypad did state that it was compatible with Mac OS, so I fear that the company lied to me, but I cannot find their company online, and therefore I cannot complain to management. They included no tech support lines on the packaging. I have attempted to contact a company online which sells the same item, but have yet received no response. I may not have waited long enough, but I feel since you will take about the same amount of time as they are now using, I should try to use this forum. The numeric keypad works just fine when I hook it up to my PC running XP, but I cannot find the driver that allows it to work there so that I could transfer it to the Mac. Also, since they are very different Operating Systems, I would fear that it wouldn't work even if I could find the driver in this way. Any suggestions?

Are you sure its not the button next to the shift key on the Laptop keyboard?

Other than that I have nothing else to offer... Sorry.

Unhappy It's gotten worse
I attempted to connect the numeric keypad to my Mac again, but with worse results. The computer did not even recognize that anything had been connected and the keypad keys did not work at all. It still does work when connected to my PC, but not to my Mac. I couldn't find out if the system wanted me to press the shift key on my laptop keyboard because I could not get to the point where I had been to try it. I'm feeling very hopeless at this point.

Talking had the same problem
Just got home and experienced the same problem you've described. I went searching just like you and found your post. I searched google for some answers and stumbled on a bunch of nonsense about an keypad lock on the desktop. I took a shot in the dark that it might help if I pushed the number lock key on my mac laptop and low and behold the keypad jumped to life as if it were the one embedded within the keyboard itself. I turned the number lock off and tried it and for some reason it kept working.

3445310345 These are numbers I just spontaneously typed with the number pad with the number lock on the laptop turned off. I guess the activation key it was looking for was the number lock key on the laptop's key board. Hope you have the same experience. Also, I wasn't prompted again to push any buttons after the first time I plugged it in too. It appears dead. Don't wait for the prompt it will never appear again. Just push the number lock key on the laptop after you plug in the key pad.

Unhappy one other thing
just tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and it doesn't work. It will work again if you restart your system, but I'm looking for that command window we got when we first plugged it in. There has to be a manual version of it somewhere in the system. In the short term be prepared to restart it you unplug it.
