Hi everyone,

I have a PC that keep stalling when trying to boot it goes through BIOS and then black screen. I thought it was the HD so I am trying to install XP on the new HD but it start and said the windows setup but it stall there n the bottom it said Setup is staring windows. But nothing is happening. I change the memory and the cable that goes to the HD...
Any suggestions would be appreciated..

When you first turn on your system...do you get a single 'beep' before it attempts to load?

Also, have you checked to see that the new HD is set for master? Are you trying to boot to the XP disk?
