Unfortunately i'm not here referring to the jolly little exercise involving pedals and tight fitting shorts.
My friends machine keeps cycling. 1st suspected problem was the hard drive, as for some reason this system seems to keep eating Hdd's. So new disk purchaced, and installed. "Oh goody" it's recognised by the bios, boots from the XP cd, starts loading basic drivers etc... gets as far as the option screen, (i.e. "To set up windows now, press enter...") then decides that, for kicks, it would like to repeat the previous excercise, and reboots, much to my frustration.
Unfortunatly I cannot recall the exact spec of the machine, only that it is an Athlon 1200, running 256MB Ram, and the new disk is a western digital 80GB.
Have tried the said Hdd on my machine with no problems, installed XP without a hitch, therefore ruling out a failed disk.
Any suggestions as to its apparent compulsion to reboot?
Thanks in advance.
