Doesn't work,

I installed it and this program gives me a sound player but when I try "test hardware" in windows I get the same result, no sound.

I would try and find the disk that came with the PC or contact the manufactures from the link I gave you .

Ok so I tried sound max and for some reason it did tell me my cables were properly connected but, when I did the speaker sound test it worked fine, as I went to check on the internet and tried an flash movie there was no sound getting out also tried the radio still nothing.

Decided to re-connect on my sound card which is an(the sound got back on but the microphone isn't working):
External:
Aureal Montego II Sound Card PCI
Motherboard supplied:
Intel 82801EB ICH5 - AC'97 Audio Controller [A-2/A-3] PCI

I am not sure what I have to do now tried a couple things and still nothing, but my microphone has an higher volume rate now.

Here are some screenshots they might help...

Both my speaker cables and my microphone head set are plugged in the sound card.

P.S I don't have the original drive cd's as my computer is 3 years old it's been a while..

Go start>>Run type dxdiag click OK

Look down the list in the new window and see that you have DirectX 9.0c

If you haven't got it go Here

Also click on the sound tab click test sound and see what it says about the drivers on the right.

You might have to contact the manufactures from the link I gave you.

Yes I have directx installed I guess Il have to call them,

funny thing even when there is no microphone plugged in the meter still shows sound I don't know why, also when my microphone is plugged the sound is now higher and has movement. I tried recording my voice using the sound recorder but with both microphones I only hear a small screech.

Do you have another Mic or sound in on that PC and if so have you tried that.

Let us know the outcome if you contact them

I tried same result I called my dad he said he's pretty sure it's a missing codec and that I should un-install and re-install my sound drivers because reparing them doesn't always fix the whole thing. Also told me to get Sandra some kinda of thing that checks if all drivers work.

I called MDG and there "currently encountering problems" .

P.S I think the problem is my sound card drivers are out-dated but I can't find a driver for Aureal 8830 (WDM) driver which is up-to-date, or an Aureal Montego II sound card driver.
