Cool help Cmos password trouble
bought my husband a laptop IBM Notebook he set his CMOS password and forgot it Iss there any way to reset the password. Any help would be appreciated

Nope. Laptop BIOS passwords are NOT stored in battery backed memory as a theft prevention measure. You'll have to contact Lenovo (they bought IBM's laptop business) and ask them for a solution. Last time I checked, they were replacing the motherboard at some ridiculous price as a solution.

This is a laptop, it's easy to get around desktop BIOS passwords.

next time i suggest he writes down the password and files it somwhere. i do that with all my passwords and keep them in a blue folder
