Want external Drive to update each night
Hi Friends -

I don't know a lot about computers, hence my recent major crash. After the Geek Squad had their way with my computer, (and did a decent job, I must say, although I did lose some programs and paid a good chunk) I went and bought a Western Digital 80 GB External Hard Drive to back up the whole computer. I'm using Win XP Pro with a Sony VAIO that is about 5 years old (the Geek fellow said it had a few good years left in it and it was well-built). I had put over 1 GB of memory in it, if that's relevant. The 80 Gbs is just enough to cover my hard drive capacity. Anyway, is there a way, with XP Pro, to back up only what is new or has changed during the day that I use it during that night? Or if I set it for back up each night will it back up the whole hard drive again?
Thanks in advance. If you can help please remember I'm computer illiterate so talk to me like I'm a 3 year old (I may know less than most 3 year old, actually).
