Solved: 10,000RPM SATA 74gb Raptor High Seek Time - Please Help
Hello again, one final question and i swear ill disappear forever again

Seriously though when I run a benchmark with Sandra Engineer I'm clocking in at 7 or 8ms with this new drive. If you check this particular drive (WDC WD740ADFD-00NLR1) most people report getting 5.2 and i think even 4ms seek speeds.

Ive read tons of stuff about the Bios and mine in particular, everything seems to be setup properly.

If anyone knows how to help me I'd be forever grateful, this is the final step to my first build and dream machine ive always wanted. thanks. take care.

well, turns out sandra is my enemy. After running HDTune and a few other utilities off some tweak sites, it turns out im getting 4.5 seek-time after all.

turns out a lot of people have issues with sandra whether personal or technical, im good to go, my apologies!

good night
