DVD Burn sooo slow.
I was having a problem with my "SAMSUNG 18X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe and Software Black IDE Model SH-S182M/BEBM - OEM."

It worked for a couple months then seemed to be burning at like 1x.

I ordered a new "SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black PATA Model SH-S202G - OEM" and installed it today. It went fast for the first 35% and now its going slow again. maybe 4x at most, probably less.

Is this a driver problem or what?

How much data are you burning to disk? And how long is it actually taking?

well its working better, its kind of off and on. sometimes it takes 7min, sometimes it takes 14... its certainly better than the hour my other one took. im not sure what happened to that one, it was only a few months old.
