Everest is not available for free anymore. It is a $35~200 product.

In a sense thou, Everest is a success story about how a free program became a powerful enough to be sold to business. It used to be AIDA32 when it was free. I still have the last version which doesn't know what some of the latest tech is... but will tell you software info.

A free hardware reporting/monitoring program is PCWizard... linked on my SIG below, its by the folks of CPU-Z.

you could download an older version of everest from here http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html
but it will not support the lastest chipsets and also it does not give you full information about your system.

Here is another one called SIW (System Information for Windows) and it free

I agree with Complier. PCWizard is the only program for system info that you'll ever need. It monitors EVERYTHING.

For a FREE Program, its the best. But Everest easily blows PCWizard out of the water... Aida32/Everest tells you serial # of your programs (Handy for preparing for a rebuild and the client lost their KEY or the builder didn't include discs, etc) - licence info, software installed, etc.

If Everest was a 100 points, I'd give PCWizard about a 7 in comparision. The OLD free version of Everest doesn't include many of the features as the PRO version or PCWizard... so I'd give it a 5.
